8th of June

Istanbul: Today Taksim witnessed the largest crowd assembled throughout the course of the event. No clashes, no injuries, nothing to report.



Ankara: The Turkish police did not surprise anyone, as they attacked the people assembled to protest the Prime Minister's arrival (!) at the capital city. The crowd which had gathered in the long-banned square was attacked by the police brutally, clashes went on for hours.

 
Cab drivers blocked the way so that police panzers could not pass. Even though, panzers were quite willing.




Adana: Police along with a group of people chanting pro-government slogans attacked the crowd gathered for the protest.

 
 
 
 


Izmir: Tens of thousands of people gathered in Gundogdu Square.
